The Warm, Stylish Way to Start Patio Season Earlier
Patio season never seems quite long enough here in Michigan. Fortunately, there are plenty of options for heating your patio or other outdoor space that can let you get the season started sooner and make it last longer.
Outdoor fireplaces, including fire pits, fire bowls, and fire tables, are all great choices for creating a warm, inviting environment and heating your outdoor space. But if you’re looking to augment your outdoor fire source or searching for an alternative—one that can keep your family and guests warm at the push of a button—Vanderwall has you covered. Our selection of outdoor radiant heaters provides the perfect balance of performance, style, ease of use, and reliability.
Bromic Smart-Heat™ Heaters from Vanderwall
Vanderwall is pleased to carry the Bromic Smart-Heat™ line of radiant outdoor heaters in a wide variety of options to suit every preference and space. These high-performance, wind-resistant heaters provide superior outdoor comfort and warmth—and look great while doing so. They’re also easy to use, with many models including wireless remote controllers.
Whether you prefer electric, natural gas, or propane as your fuel source, we’ve got you covered. Choosing which type of fuel source works best in your space will depend on a few key factors such as climate, clearances, availability, and cost; learn more about how to select the perfect fuel source for your application.
You’ll also want to decide if your heater(s) will be mounted or portable. Ceiling-mounted and flush-mounted units are ideal for covered patios and porches, while wall-mounted heaters are great for a patio that’s adjacent to your home, outbuilding or other structure. Portable units work anywhere and are especially convenient for an uncovered, freestanding patio. Need help? The expert team at Vanderwall can work with you to determine what’s best for your space.
How Radiant Heat Works
Radiant heat works by transferring heat to people and objects, much in the way the sun warms your skin. By contrast, the forced air heat in a home fills up the enclosed space with warm air and circulates it around the room. As you can imagine, it’s easier (and more efficient) to heat people and furniture than to heat the air flowing around you outside, especially in colder temperatures or windy conditions. Because radiant heat warms objects and not the air, radiant heaters have a higher resistance to wind.
