Working with Vanderwall was very easy. Mark and Andrea communicated very clearly and effectively to share the process of purchase, payment and installation. A text was sent just before Graham showed up for installation. The installers were very respectful and made sure they protected our carpet and any furniture that they were working around. I would highly recommend their products and service.

We had a service issue with our over 20 year-old Kozy fireplace. It turned out to be a non issue. Sam, the technician, could not have been nicer. He immediately solved the issue and explained why we were not able to turn on the fireplace. He then took us through all of our questions and features of our Kozy fireplace which we had long forgotten. Along with thoroughly cleaning the fireplace area, he was wonderful at explaining all of the details and making sure we understood everything he was saying. Fantastic service!

We stopped in to check out the purchase of the gas insert for our fireplace. Incredibly knowledgeable extremely helpful. If you want a gas fireplace insert they probably have it, lots of stoves also. I wasn’t looking for a stove, but saw pellet burners, and wood burners too. We were able to find what we wanted in an insert, comparably priced to other places that we visited. Lots of options. Definitely worth the drive if you’re considering a gas insert, stove, or outdoor gas/wood fire pit.

Sam came out to recondition our fireplace thoroughly after15 yrs purchase from Vanderwall Brothers. He beautifully reconditioned the visual and replaced some worn out parts. Logan was so professional and curious to explain what he was going to do and how to work pilot on / off in the future. I love our new log set and impressed that when they had a cancellation 4 days prior to our planned service date for install they asked if an earlier date would work. Waaay to go on doing Fridays work on Monday and get er done!

Customer service is outstanding. Sam came out to fix our gas log value unit and went above and beyond. He put an extender on the on/off switch so it would be easier to adjust and not get too hot being so close to the logs, he vacuumed off the soot on our logs, and provided helpful insight on maintenance we had not received from prior company who installed our fireplace. Excellent experience and would highly recommend VanderWall Brothers.

I had a problem with my firelogs. Kurt came that very day, bringing with him a most capable employee, Sam. Sam was that most valuable of employees because he understood how to detect an obscure problem and then, even better, what it would take to solve it. I can honestly say that the logs look better than they ever have and, best of all, perform as they should. Thank you, VanderWall, and especially Sam.

We had a such a great experience from start to finish with Vanderwall in Spring Lake. We have multiple gas fireplace units and some issues came up we needed service for. Andrea was great to talk with and we got scheduled in quickly. Sam was our technician, he showed up promptly, excellent knowledge of the different systems and great troubleshooting skills to get the different issues resolved and up and running again. I Went in with my fireplace remote and the people at the front desk immediately saw to my needs. Jon was especially helpful in tracking down the person who had the expertise to sync the remote with the fire place. Kyle, who is my neighbor, volunteered to learn how to do the sync and came over to do it for me. What a great bunch of people at VanderWall Concete! Great service and great product lines.

Can't speak highly enough of this business who ended up saving us $3K. Yes---$3K! They were helpful from the start as they determined the best plan to address a "supposed" chimney liner "issue" which was 11 years old. When Sam came out, he thoroughly inspected our insert and the chimney and informed us that everything had been installed according to code etc. so not to worry. Another company had told us the entire liner had to be replaced = SCAM....very grateful for the professionalism, integrity, and thoroughness of this company. Highly recommend them! Its SO nice to know there are still people who believe in doing the right thing.

I loved working with Nate. He visited our home to determine and explained how the gas fireplace insert and the gas fireplace stove would be installed. He the came out latter and installed them. He did little extra like make sure all gas line connection looked picture perfect. He even cleanup the old gas line. He painted brackets black, so they were less noticeable. We are very happy with our new units.

The fireplace system we had installed works fine, although wildly overpriced (as is the case most places) with a remote that looks like a cell phone from the 80s. The service people were great, but the office behaves markedly as if they are doing you a massive favor to give you their service... for which you are paying through the nose! Nothing unprofessional or anything, just overwhelmingly unaccommodating in terms of being reached via phone, clarity of communication, and all scheduling issues. For example (one of many), for days and days I could not reach a human to better understand what would be happening on installation day, and then when I finally got through they acted annoyed and confused why I would want any information about how the installation process would happen (am I waiting for a phone call or a knock on the door, will I have any advanced notice before they arrive, etc.). I didn’t feel ripped off or anything (at least not in the context of post-COVID home improvement markets), just vaguely disrespected.

Les worked on our Napoleon gas fireplace and did an awesome job. Fixed the problem in the 1/2 hour time frame. He was informative ,friendly, and knowledgeable. The $149 for a 1/2 hour worth of work seemed a little steep. Thank goodness Les knew what to do and did it quicklyThanx Les👍🏻👏🏻

VanderWall Brothers has a vast supply of stone products to enhance the exterior of homes. But also, they have a great fire pit product which is sustainable in Michigan winters. Their staff is very friendly too.

Vanderwall Brothers installed a fireplace for us today and we are extremely happy we chose them! From our initial fact-finding visit (where Dan was extremely knowledgeable) and several phone calls and emails afterward that he promptly answered, we were confident that they had the knowledge and expertise to ensure we were happy in the end. Sam, Nate and Andrew were here today for the initial installation and they were fantastic! They worked together as a team and willingly redid the platform after we decided we wanted it a bit lower than what we had initially communicated. Every aspect of this process was seamless thanks to the group of employees we worked with; they certainly represent Vanderwall well and we highly recommend them!

We highly recommend VanderWall Brothers!! They are very knowledgeable and professional. Sam was our first contact in their beautiful showroom, and did an excellent job answering our questions, knowing his product extremely well. Dan is an excellent communicator via email and handles invoicing and scheduling very professionally and promptly, with very good and honest pricing. Les is stellar, another excellent communicator, and very professional and knowledgeable in measuring to determine the exact model needed for our home. Sam is superb - he and Andrew did a top notch job installing two fireplaces for us. We just can’t say enough about the entire team - they are AWESOME!! We visited 3 other fireplace stores in the west Michigan area and are so glad we chose VanderWall Brothers. The Chaska fireplaces look beautiful and we will enjoy them and their heat for many years to come!!

Very pleased with their knowledge of the industry. I recently purchased a home with a gas fireplace that wouldn’t light. I called late in the evening, left a message and early the next day Scott(?)returned my call and walked me through how to o-erase the fireplace, all at no charge. He could have easily sent a service technician and charged a fee. I appreciate their honesty and integrity

VanderWall Bros earned my top rating and a I will give a positive reference to friends and strangers alike! The showroom is a big beautiful experience, so Covid distancing is easy to do. Dan communicated clearly and consistently about scheduling and Les did a masterful job on our indoor gas log fireplace installation. When it's time for an outdoor fire pit we know we'll call VanderWall Bros!

I called VanderWall to get a quote on a wood burning insert to compare to other quotes I had received. Their quote was comparable (and even a bit below on installation and liner fees) but what stood out the most was their degree of professionalism and honesty. I had told them a specific model of insert we were looking at and the price I had found it for (on clearance at another store) and they gave me their input on the quality of that item and suggested that we would be getting a great deal if we purchased. They also gave me the makes and models of some other quality inserts to look and and consider for when we decide to also do our basement fireplace. It is rare to find a company that truly puts the customers best interest ahead of business gain! We will definitely be reaching back out to VanderWall's for our next project!!

We highly recommend VanderWall Brothers for a fireplace upgrade. We have a 90 year old house and our new gas log installation fits perfectly with the look of our fireplace. Dan was great answering our questions, as well as a seamless install by Les, we couldn't have been happier with the process. We had Vanderwall Bros install a Cozy Heat fireplace about 3.5 years ago, great unit heats our entire basement in no time, had a small issue yesterday, called them and within 20 minutes Les called me back. After explaining the issue he told me he would be right over as he was going back to the shop, stopped in spent 30 mins even going on my roof to check the vent, fixed our problem, asked how much I owe, told me no charge, NOW THAT’S SERVICE, you would be foolish not to check out Vanderwall if looking for a fireplace.

OMG!! This Place Has Wood pellets for Woodburning Stove when EVERYONE else had none!!! Praise the Lord!! Its Only March and most places consider wood pellets a SEASONAL product....well, its not gonna be warm tomorrow folks, so this is Thee Place to Go!!!
